In the May 2026 Patch Tuesday, Microsoft closes a number of security flaws in Windows 11, Office and Edge. Three are rated critical; at least one is, according to MITRE, already being actively exploited (zero-day status).
Recommendation
- Run Windows Update manually now: Settings → Windows Update → "Check for updates"
- Update Office separately via the Office apps → "Account" → "Update options" → "Update now"
- Edge updates automatically; force a restart if needed
