How we test and rate
Every product on antivirus-vergleich.ch is evaluated against the same six criteria. This page explains where the data comes from, how we weight it, and how often we refresh — so our recommendations are traceable.
The six rating criteria
The previous scores have no documented assessment evidence. Planned VM tests will report versions, dates, conditions and results. External laboratory reports will be identified separately with their specific sources.
External sources
Displayed scores are editorial ratings. Vendor statements, external lab tests and our own measurements must be distinguished by product, version and date. General links to laboratories do not document a specific product test.
How the finder weights inputs
The finder only considers plans matching the recorded platform and a sufficient known device limit. It then weights profile, product features, price tier and your selected priority. A product feature does not guarantee inclusion in the displayed plan.
Update cycles
An editorial review date is displayed only when explicitly recorded. A technical update date or the current calendar month is not evidence of a price check. Check current prices and conditions with the provider before purchasing.
What we don't do
We don't accept paid placements. There are no sponsored top picks, no pay-to-rank slots. Affiliate commissions only flow after a ranking has been generated against this methodology. Vendors without an affiliate program (e.g. Microsoft Defender, Mullvad) are treated identically.
Correction policy
If we spot an error or you point one out, we correct it openly and timestamp the change. Correction notices stay visible in the content.
