Quishing

Phishing via QR codes – on posters, in letters, or on parking meters.

Quishing (QR phishing) is phishing via QR codes. Attackers stick fake QR codes over real ones (parking meter, restaurant menu) or mail them in letters. On scan, the victim lands on a phishing page.

Protection: use a QR scanner with URL preview; never start sensitive actions (payment, login) from a QR code – always inside the relevant app.
